Bear Dog Hoodie

I received the Bear Dog Hoodie through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Warm, fuzzy fleece
  • Bear design
  • Sizes: XS, S, M, L, & XL
The dog hoodie has a very cute bear design that is amusing and adorable.

The fleece material of the hoodie is very soft to the touch. It reminds me of fuzzy fleece blankets. The fleece material does hold in their body heat. It's great for on winter nights when they have to go out into the snow and cold.

If warn for several hours, the pets could get too warm, especially if they're in doors or warmer weather, because of how well the fleece holds in they're body heat.

I did notice that the tail ball is just glued onto the fabric. It's easy to pull off or have it come loose. If a pet is a chewer, like mine, it will be ripped off the hoodie quickly.

The size of the hoodie runs very small. My dog normally wears a small in dog clothes and sweaters. She usually enjoys dressing up, especially in the winter time because it keeps her warm. My dog is a Shih Pom (Shih Tzu mixed with Pomeranian), which makes her apart of the toy breed.

Originally, I tried a small with this product and it was way too short her for. It was too short by several inches.

I had to get a large because the smaller hoodies would not fit her in length and I figured the medium still wouldn't fit due to the design of the small. The larger size didn't fit her in the chest area, which also made the hood too big for her. It annoyed her each time the hood would flop over and cover her face.

The back portion of the hoodie bothers my dog. She's not used to something rubbing near her tail or pushing it down. I could tell by the way she was walking and laying down that she did not like the hoodie at all.

I do like that the chest and length that each size is made for is listed in the description of the product, but the chest vs. length size does not seem proportionate or fitting for all dog breeds.

If this product was sold as a two piece with the bottoms (back legs) and top (chest, front legs) of the hoodie separated, the sizes would have been more to portion with how most dog clothing fits. It could also create more satisfaction for the pet if they only like a certain half of the hoodie.

Pros:
- Cute
- Soft fleece

Cons:
- One piece
- Length size is too short
- Runs very small in size
- Tail is just glued on
(Pets who are chewers will get this removed easily)

MyDog Pet Hair De-Shedding Tool

I received the MYDOG Pet Hair De-shedding Tool through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Shedding blade
  • Shedding rake
  • Gel comfort handle
The dual grooming tool works well for helping take care of my pets' hair. This shedding tool works great for toy, small, and medium sized dogs. Larger ones would take a quite a bit of time to go through their hair using this tool due to the size of the blades and rake.

The grooming tool has a very nice handle. It's the right size for a natural and comfortable hold. The gel is squishy and soft. It helps create a non-slip hold as well. The only issue I have with the gel handle is that it collects pet hair. Using soap and water helps remove pet hair from the surface of the handle.
My dogs have medium to long hair. They shed a lot due to being a Pomeranian and Shih Tzu mix. Most de-shedding tools do not make them stop shedding, but helps limit the amount of hair they do shed.

This tool helps them shed less as well. My dogs weren't big fans of the blade because the blade tends to pull on their hair. They don't like any de-shedding blades my family has tried.

The rake side of the brush was a different story, which surprised me a lot. Usually, my dogs want nothing to do with wired or metal type brushes. It must feel sharp or strange on their skin. The rake on this brush has very smooth and rounded ends. It doesn't scratch or irritate the skin. This was actually the first wired/metal type brush that I've found that they actually like to use.

Pros:
- Rake has rounded, smooth ends
- Helps reduce shedding
- Comfortable handle
- Nice plastic covering over de-shedding blade

Cons:
- Handle collects hair (but is easy to wash)

Probiotic Chews for Dogs

I received the Probiotic Chews for dogs through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Duck-flavored
  • No wheat
  • Supports digestive tract health
  • Supports bacterial balance
  • Supports immune system
  • Helps maintain regularity
  • Helps with itching and allergies
  • Helps digestive issues and gas
  • Produces enzymes to aid digestion
  • Supports overall wellness and energy
The Daily Probiotics treat are very small and tiny. They're great for small dogs. I feel like bigger dogs, unless they're puppies, could swallow that treat whole. It's the perfect size for my dogs, since they're toy breeds.

The smell isn't overpowering, not like some treats I've gotten for my dogs in the past. The smell is noticeable when the bag is open, but I don't notice it when the bag is closed. The bag has a nice resealable zip lock to it. Helps keep the treats fresh.

The treats are a mix of a wet and dry dog treat. It's not mush wet, but there is some moisture to it. They're not overly soft where they're easily broken either.

One of my dogs sometimes has a touchy stomach and will end up having to go to the bathroom right after she eats certain foods. She stole some of the treat from my other dog when we were trying it out. She had no problem digesting this probiotic.

Both of my dogs seem to like the flavor and texture of this treat. They always get excited over someone messing with the treat bag.

Pays & Play Nov. Subscription Box

I had been meaning to make this post for awhile, but I never got a chance or took the time to write it.

Izzy (the brown one) and Tink (the white/tan one) were beyond excited to check out what was in their November Pays & Play subscription box. They spent a good hour trying to break open the box on their own before I gave in and helped them.

Unfortunately, I had just purchased the Paws & Play subscription for small dogs without the intent of writing a blog post about it, so I didn't think of taking individual photos of each item they received.

Here's a break down of what was in their November box:
  •  Mammoth Flossy Chew Toy ($5.95 value)
The Mammoth Flossy Chew Toy was a small blue rope for them to chew on. It fits perfectly in their mouths. I've never seen one so small and it was adorable. It was the perfect size for toy dogs.
  • Spot Hoots Plush Owl ($8.95 value)
This happened to be the Owl chew toy, which they are both obsessed with. Izzy usually doesn't go back to toys after they've been around a few days in the house, but she likes to go back to this owl and play with it. The fuzzy tail makes it easy to grip, as with the ears. The body of the chew toy squeaks.
  • Zukes Superfood Dog Treats ($8.95 value)
My dogs love these chewy treats. The berry blend doesn't smell bad either. The treats are to help provide extra energy for the pets. I don't notice much with the change in their energy, but they sure love the taste.
  • Silver Spur Free Range Pig Ear ($1.95 value)
Tink and Izzy were obsessed with this pig ear. I usually only buy them raw hide chew sticks because pig ears just gross me out. They seemed to love it though and fought over who got it. We had to cut the pig ear in half for them both to be able to chew on it at once.
  • Bags on Board Poop Bags ($5.95 value)
These dog bags will come in great for when my family and I take the dogs on walks. Plus, the  red fire hydrant holder is really cute.
  • Samples
They also liked the samples they received in the box. Sadly, one of the samples were broken open, so they didn't really get to try that one. The others they all loved.

Best Natural Bully Sticks

I received the Best Natural Bully Sticks through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Helps to clean teeth
  • Long lasting chewing treat
  • 100% Beef (No chemicals, additives, or preservatives
  • Gluten-Free
  • Grain-Free
  • 100% Digestible
  • Very difficult to break
  • Low in fat
When I received this product, the first thing I noticed is the resealable strip. With the resealable bag, it helps keep the sticks fresh. One of my dogs happen to be extremely picky about her chew bones. They have to come fresh out of the bag for her to chew on them. Ones that have been laying around for days, she will not touch.

Next thing I noticed was how there was only about nine sticks in the bag. I was disappointed at first, until I found out how long those bully sticks last.

Normally, I would purchase my dogs those twist hide sticks for them to chew on. I'm lucky if one of those last an hour or two. My dogs go nuts over chew sticks.

When I gave my dogs the Bully Sticks, they weren't really sure about them. They're bigger width wise compared to what they were used to. They're also harder. Their normal chew sticks would bend. These bully sticks feel hard as a rock when dry.

The first day they had them, they chewed on them for almost four hours straight, and they weren't even half way done with either bone. I was shocked at how long it was taking them, but they enjoyed every second of it.

I can't comment whether or not this product truly cleans their teeth. Neither of my dogs really allow me to check their teeth.

I did noticed that the sticks, even though they say odorless, do leave a slight odor when the dogs are chewing on them. It's just that typical chew bone smell. It wasn't overwhelming or strong.

When my dogs first tried the sticks, they weren't sure how they felt about them. Now, they freak out more over these Bully Sticks than their old hide twist sticks.

Dogpark Pet Training Dog Relief System

Dogpark Pet Training Dog Relief System

I received the Dogpark Pet Training Dog Relief System as a promotional item from Tomoson.
This product became a promotional item at the perfect time. I have a six month old puppy who is currently in potty training. She has one area in the house where she has accidents. She doesn’t use the Dogpark Pet Training Dog Relief System often. She does like laying on it though, but she’s always had an obsession for laying in grass.
My sister and her family had one-month old puppies (Teddybear) who were just beginning to go potty outside when I received this product. The first time they used this training mat, we were camping. The rocks were hard, so they decided to use the mat as a bed and play area. They were constantly climbing onto the mat.
The one-month old puppies have used this mat a lot more than my six-month old puppy. The one-month old Teddybear puppies tend to potty on the Dogpark Pet Training Dog Relief System more than they have on the floor, blankets, or their bed. The puppies all seem to love it for one reason or another.
The mat isn’t too hard to clean up. No matter how they went to the bathroom, the mat can be taken apart in three different sections to be rinsed off and cleaned.

(Note: this product is not made of real grass, but a synthetic surface that is similar to grass. It doesn’t feel as soft as normal grass. It is similar in texture.)
