HandyMate Digital Tape Measure

I received the HandyMate Digital Tape Measure through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Stores 8 measurements
  • Measures in centimeters, feet, and inches
  • LCD display
  • Battery is included
  • Tape measure stays once out until button is pressed
This tape measure needs some improvements.

The tape measure works fine if measuring by the actual tape. Those numbers don't change. The tape stays put once pulled out, which I really like when measure larger items alone without someone to help hold the tape measure. It reels back in when button is pressed.

The digital portion of the tape measure needs improvement. The battery is replaceable and comes with the tape measure, which is great when the battery dies and needs changed. The digital readings is my biggest issue with this tape measure. The digital reading is frequently inaccurate. The inside measurement makes it obvious that the reading is off. I've had readings be off from -.4 to .4 of a centimeter. Resetting the measurement to 0 doesn't always work to get a correct reading when the tape is completely reeled inside the tape measure.

It's okay for a basic old fashion tape measure. The tape measure leaves much to be desired with the digital portion.

Pros:
- Keeps tape extracted until button is pressed
- Lightweight
- Battery is replaceable

Cons:
- Inaccurate with digital readings

KUKPO Measuring Cups & Spoons

I received the KUKPO 8-Piece Measuring Cups and Spoons Set through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Stainless Steel
  • Silicon handles
  • Works for dry & liquid ingredients
  • Cup sizes: 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 1 cup
  • Spoon sizes: 1/2 TSP, 1 TSP, 1/2 TBSP, 1 TBSP

The Kukpo measuring spoon and cup set work well for measuring dry and wet ingredients.

The silicone handles provide a comfortable grip. If the handles would get wet, the silicone handles do provide a non-slip grip.

The stainless steel of the cups and spoons is easy to clean. The edges of the handles and around the rim of the spoon and cups are not sharp.

The set has four spoons. The sizes are 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, 1/2 tbsp, and 1 tbsp. Majority of the sizes I use for cooking and baking are included with this spoon set.

The cup set has the sizes 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup, and 1 cup. The cup set doesn't have as many sizes as many of my other measuring cup sets do. It does have the basic sizes needed for cooking and baking.

"What Night?" Funny Wine Glass

I received the "What Night?" Funny Wine Glass through a promotion?

Product Info:
  • USA made
  • Made with Libbey glassware
  • Easy to read text
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Can hold 12.75 oz. of wine
  • Well packaged
First thing I noticed when I received this product was that it was well packaged. I've received glassware products before that were broken and shattered due to lack of packaging. This one was packaged very well! You could tell the company cares about their product. It was wrapped within 3 or 4 sheets of bubble wrap, then in a box, then wrapping with amazon air packing, and in an amazon box. I was pleased with how well it was packaged.

I had thought when I first got approved and ordered this product that the glass would be thin, breakable, and cheap. I am extremely pleased to be wrong. The glass is nice and thick. It's very well made. There is a slight wobble at the bottom when the glass is sitting down and empty, but it's not a big enough wobble to become a problem or cause any issues.

I love the saying on the wine glass. It's cute. I love the line marking the best though, which is with the sayings. I don't like alcohol straight, even wine. I usually mix mine with soda to give a different flavor, less bitter. I use the line markings to measure how much alcohol (wine or flavored vodka) with the "Good Night" marking. I then add soda until it reaches the "What Night" marking. It makes the perfect mix for me.

This came in handy on the nights class work (homework) was driving me nuts.

The wine glass is also very easy to wash. The glass is dishwasher safe. The lettering/markings don't come off in the dishwasher with the number of times I've used it. It also is easy to wash in the sink due to the wide opening at the top.

This has become my favorite wine glass to use.

Dual-S Body Fat Scale by Surpahs

I received the Dual-S Body Fat Scale by Surpahs from a promotion.

Product Info:
  • High tempered glass platform
  • 4 User Recognition
  • Measures percentage of body fat, body water, muscle and bone mass, and kcal.
  • Uses 4 AAA batteries
  • Size: 11 x 9.6 x 0.9"
The first thing I noticed with this scale is that there wasn't a lot of protection in the box around the front/top part of the scale. The glass is said to be high tempered, so it's probably stronger than I realize.

The scale takes four AAA batteries to run. One set does come with the scale.

I found that I could only turn on the scale by touching one of the metal strips with my bare foot. It was both bothersome and useful. It bothered me because I couldn't just weight myself with my socks on, so it took more time. The sensors in the metal strip help provide accurate readings. It's was useful, so that if someone accidentally put something on it (which they did), it didn't turn on the scale and waste the battery.

The screen is super easy to read with the blue LCD and the white back-light.

The only issue I had with this scale was the size of it. I felt like I was stepping off or falling off the sides of the scale. I don't have that big of feet, though I may stand with my feet further apart. I'm just not used to a scale that size.

Check it out on amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
