When I first received these EZ-lids, I questioned how well they could create a air tight seal. When I took them out of the package, I placed them on my table. I didn't push down on the lids, but they still got stuck to the table. These lids remind me of large suction cups. 

As food covers for storing food, these lids work great for creating an air tight seal. Even when the lid is bigger than the container, it is still able to create the air tight seal when you press down on the lid when it's over the container opening. 

The raised center on the top of the lids works well as a small handle to pull up on the lid to try to get it off. To get the lid off when it has the air tight seal, I've had to pull up on an edge of the lid and pull on the center to get it to pop off. Otherwise, you could pick the lid up by that small handle and have the bowl or container raise up with the lid. It holds tight, depending on the weight of the food items in the container. 

With microwave and oven uses, the lid works well and withstands the heat. If the food being heated up tends to pop, like some meat or butter, the lid will pop off. It can create a mess if you're not careful with it and watchful towards how the food sounds when it's heating up. I've used the lid when heating up butter and it made a mess in the microwave because the butter popped and the lid came off little bit. 

For cleaning the lid, soap and water works well. It's also dishwasher safe. There's not a lot of little areas where the food could get stuck on the bottom of the lid. It's pretty easy to clean.
