Multi-Sockets Surge Protector

I received the 14-Outlet 4-USB Multi Sockets Surge Protector through a promotion.

This multi sockets surge protector is a nice outlet and usb surge protector for areas where many items need to be plugged in at once. 

When I opened the package with the surge protector, I had forgotten that the power cord was retractable. I was really confuse trying to find where the rest of the cord was. The retractable cord makes it easier to have the surge protector sitting by an outlet without having the cord in the way or causing a trip hazard. If the outlet is higher up on the wall, the surge protector can still sit flat on the floor. The plug in for this surge protector is a three-prong plug. 

The cord can be retracted by rotating the top portion of the surge protector. 

The surge protector was taller than I expected it to be. It is twice as tall as my water bottle when it's sitting on a flat surface. The surge protector usually sits flat, except for when it's on my bed. 

There's four layers to the outlet. The top three layers have the outlets. The bottom layer has two outlets and four usbs. Each layer has a power button that allows you to turn on and off the power to that layer. It helps make this surge protector to be more power saving. There is a LED light indicator on each layer to show if the power is on with that layer. The light is bright. 

Each of the outlets and ubs plug-ins I tried seem to work fine. I wouldn't recommend having something plugged in to each outlet and usb port at one time, just to be safe. Although the surge protector is made with fireproof ABS plastic, too many items plugged into one power strip could cause issues with the outlet that the surge protector is plugged into. There is a overload protection on each switch. If power is over, the switch will shut off.

The Eylo Emergency Flashlight is a handy 6-in-1 tool to keep and use in the home or vehicle.

The flashlight is a rechargeable device, so no worrying about having extra batteries around for if the flashlight dies. The flashlight can be recharged using a micro USB cord. It can be charged through an outlet, car charger, or external battery.

If none are available or limited, the manual hand crank can work to help charge the flashlight to provide light or a small charge to mobile devices. Hand cranking may be tiring, but it is effective and useful in emergency situations.

I really like that this emergency flashlight has a port that can be used to charge a cell phone. It may not provide a full charge to mobile device, but it can provide enough to make an emergency call, send a message for help, look up a phone number for a tow truck, or check weather radars.

The seat belt cutter seems to have a decent sharpness to it. There isn't enough space between the edge and the flashlight to cut a finger or thick rope. The blade was able to cut cardboard, paper, and string when I tried it. The cardboard wasn't able to cut in one go like the others. I had to wiggle the blade and cardboard to get it to cut the entire length.

The window glass breaker hammer is useful if it's ever needed. The metal is thick and sturdy enough to break through glass. The pointed end isn't sharp enough to cut skin, but it could scratch or damage a cell phone screen. The silicone piece over the hammer helps make the pointed end less likely to cause damage when it's not being used. The silicone piece can come off easily and get lost.

The flashlight has four different settings. The long button on the side turns on the red emergency flasher. There's four magnets on the end by the flashlight that allows it to stick to a car, so the red emergency flasher is facing out and visible.

The clear flashlight end has three of the four modes. The flashlight can be bright, dim, or SOS.

This emergency flashlight is great for in the home in case of weather conditions or power loss. I mainly keep mine in the car in case of emergencies when traveling. The light works great if ever stuck on the road or needing to break out of the car.

Ubercords Extension Cords

I received the Ubercords 1-Foot Power Extension Cord Cable Strip through a promotion.

When I first got this cord, I wondered why someone would need a 1-foot power strip. Then, I started thinking of all the times I couldn't fit a plug in into an outlet because it was too big and something else was already plug-in there. The cord comes in hand during those situations because the plug-in to the outlet on the cord is small. It helps spread out that clutter. This plug-in comes in handy at hotels where the only plug-in near the beds is the one where the alarm clock is plug-in at. I can't plug in my power strip in that area because the plug is too big for that area to fit. This cord is small enough to fit in that area and powerful enough that I'm able to plug my power strip on it. 

The cord can also provide an extra foot to other extension cords when and if it's needed. 

The cord is durable. It's thick enough that it won't break or snap, yet it's flexible enough that it can bend. Both ends of the plugs fit well with other plugs. It's snug enough that they don't fall out, yet they don't get stuck or become too difficult to separate. 

It's a well made cord.

I received the Ubercords 6-Foot Power 2-Pack Extension Cords through a promotion.

These cords are nice extension cords. I'm used to extension cords having more than one female prong. If you're needing more than one female prong with this extension cord, connecting the extension cord to a power strip does work. It still does well charging many devices with a power strip connected without slowing down the charging speeds. 

The cords are heavy duty. The cords are thick enough that they won't break or if an evil little dog chews on them, the teeth marks won't go all the way to the wires. Yes, it happened to me. The cord is still pretty flexible that it can bend and moved around without pinching the wires or damaging the cord. 

Both the female and male prongs are pretty snug. The male prong takes a bit of effort to unplug it. A young child may not have the strength to do so. The female prong connector can also fit some male plugs well. For one the main plug-in I had connected to the female connector side, I could shake and wiggle it vigorously and it wouldn't come lose from the extension cord.

K2R-803 Portable Power Bank

I received the K2R-803 Portable Power Bank through a promotion.

The first thing I notice when I received this product was the container or box the power bank came in. It was well protected and convenient. The package contained the power bank, as well as LED micro and lightning cables. Both cables are a good three feet if not longer. 

The cables were nice and durable. They're thicker, so they're not as easily bent or broken. There is a light on the end of each of the cables that light up when the device (a cellphone, tablet, etc.) is charging. 

The power bank is easy to charge. Using the micro cable with an outlet/plug-in, the power bank takes several hours to fully charge. I usually charge it during the night, so it's charged by morning when I can take it with me.

The power bank weighs about 8 ounces. It's lightweight compared to many other power banks I've tried.

The two lights that make up the flashlight are very bright. They're above the Out 2A port.

The 4 LED lights that indicate how much the device is charged can be a bit difficult to see how much charge is truly left. All four lights end up being lit or look lit, even if there's only one 25% left to the battery or charge. A few of the blue lights will be brighter appearing than the others, which the brighter lights are how much charge is left.

I was confused the first few times I used this device because I wondered why the charged never seemed to go down until it was completely dead. That's when I noticed the issue with the LED lights indicator. They all look lit, but there will be a few that are brighter to show the charge.

I've gotten 2-3 full charges to my cell phone with the power bank without having to recharge the power bank. I had used my phone during the time it was charging on the power bank. If I had not been using it, I would have gotten more full charges out of the power bank.

The power bank doesn't overheat my phone when it's charging. Out 1A port charges the fastest.

Overall, this has been a very good power bank that's light weight and holds several full charges. I'm impressed with how well it worked.

Power Tek Pocket Knife

First thing I noticed about this pocket knife was that it was heavy. At least, it was heavier than I expected it to be.

I was shocked and impressed with the quality of this pocket knife, as well as the other tools included on it.

There's little rubber inlays to help provide a better grip for comfort and to avoid dropping it.

(Yes, do not drop it on your foot. It will hurt.)

I kept finding more and more parts to this multi-tool. I had not expected so many, but I'm also not overly familiar with most pocket knives. I just use the few that's been laying around the house.

Although, some of the tools are hard to get out. It took several tries to get the smaller ones out.

Those ones do not compare to this multi-tool pocket knife. The ones at my house either didn't have all the tools this Power Tek Fire Talon one does, the ease of use is different, the others didn't have as tight of grip when using the pliers as this one does, or the knife and scissors just are not as sharp.

(Yes, the knife and scissors are very sharp with this pocket knife. Be careful.)

I like at the battery is included for the flashlights, since I could not find what type of battery was needed in the listing of details.

The battery was a little hard to get out at first due to the paper that was also in it. I was afraid of breaking the door where the battery is.

The flashlights are on both ends. They're great for close areas. They don't reach the distance of normal flashlights or cell phone lights.

Gaffer Power

I received the Gaffer Power tape through a promotion.

First off, they're not kidding about the "power" part. This tape is very sticky and stays stuck. Trying to get the tape out of the package was a struggle. The plastic wrapping wanted to keep sticking to the tape due to the sticky edges.

The sticky power makes this tape great for industrial uses or even taping down those cords to avoid tripping over them or having a dog chew on them (yep, that's my problem at home).

The amount of time of played with the tape, it never left any sticky residue on my hands or other surfaces. I even tried getting it wet; it didn't lose much of it's stickiness.

It cuts easily or can be ripped, which makes it easy to get the size of strip you want.

I never heard of Gaffer Tape before this promotion. It may not be as pretty as my colorful, designed duct tape, but it works and sticks much better.
