Stainless Steel Dog Bowls

I received the 32 oz Stainless Steel Dog Bowls through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Rubber bottom to reduce slipping
  • Made with stainless steel
  • Dishwasher safe
  • 32 ounces
The stainless steel dog bowls are a nice size for if you have several pets or larger pets.

The bowl holds 32 oz. of food or water, which is quite a bit. The bowls' sides goes up several inches. For small dogs, such as toy breeds, these dog bowls would be too big or high for them. My dogs, who are a smaller breed, don't really enjoy these bowls because the bowls hit their necks if the food or water is low. It bothers them when they're trying to drink or eat. When the food or water is towards the top, it's not a problem.

The bowls have a rubber bottom on the edges to help reduce slipping. It can still slip or slide if a pet pushes the bowl. If the bottom metal part would also have a rubber bottom to it, it might work better to reduce the slipping.

The bowls are easy to clean. Using water and soap works for a quick clean. The bowls can also fit into the dishwasher and is dishwasher safe.

Pros:
- Easy to clean
- Size for bigger dogs or lots of pets

Cons:
- Still can slip and slide on floor
- Size for smaller (toy sized) breeds

Snug Pet Feeding Mat

I received the Snug Pet Feeding Mat through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Raised lip to catch food and water spills
  • Food safe premium grade silicone
  • Helps keep bowls from being pushed around the room
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Flexible
  • Waterproof
The old mat I had for my dog's food bowls allowed them to move their lightweight dishes around too much. They'd knock the dish over at times. This mat at least keeps the dishes more in place and doesn't allow them to slide all over the place.

The raised lid of this Snug Pet Feeding Mat helps keep food on the mat and not on the floor. When the dogs are the ones making the mess, it does work well to keep the food on the mat. When someone else is pouring food into their dishes, the food can sometimes come off the mat because it bounces.

My dogs seem to enjoy using this mat for their dog food. The mat is low enough to the ground and comfortable enough that it allows them to step onto the mat to eat their food. Their old mat was a hard plastic and raised bumps on the mat that they would refuse to step on that mat. That old mat would also slide on the ground. This mat does not. It stays in the location you place it.

The mat is easy to clean. It's flexibility makes it easy to stick in the dishwasher, since it's dishwasher safe. It also can be cleaned by using soap and water.
