Retaliation is a great start to the Twisted Mayhem MC series. The novel caught my interest right from when the unexpected and tragic happens to Roanne's father. It made me instantly want to know more about Roanne and how she'd handle the situation.
At first, Roanne seems like the typical single 26 year-old female with the way she interacts with her father. Throughout the book, more of Roanne's spirited personality comes out. She's not afraid to speak up and do as she pleases. Her strength and behavior impresses me considering the situation she's in.
Jensen Stone was a mystery to me at first. I wondered why he'd help Roanne, why he ever left her in the first place, and what plans he had for her. I am thankful that many of my questions got answered while reading the story. The interactions between Jensen and Roanne amuse me.
Even the secondary characters caught my attention. Many of the other members in the Twisted Mayhem MC made me laugh or want to know more about there.
There were so many twist and turns that I had not expected in this story. I constantly wondered what would happen next and who is behind all the chaos. The book is very well done, and I can't wait until the next one.
