Hot Glue Gun

I received the CLD Brands Hot Glue Gun through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • 20 Watts
  • Adheres to metal, wood, paper, fabric, magnets, lace, burlap, etc.
  • 3 - 5 minutes to heat up
I've had some hot glue guns in the past that turn on as soon as you plug them in. They can make a giant mess. This hot glue gun doesn't turn on until you switch the on/off button into the on position.

Once on, the hot glue gun starts to heat up slowly. Takes about 3 to 5 minutes to heat up the nozzle. (Be careful not to touch the metal tip and the top of the hot glue gun because it does get very hot.) Holding the glue gun when on only by the handle is highly recommended.

The gun fits about one glue stick at a time. This glue gun doesn't leak out glue as quickly as other hot glue guns I've had in the past. It's far less messy! This gun makes clean up much easier.

The trigger on the gun helps push the glue through the gun to give a small amount of glue (about an inch long for a thicker amount of glue and a trailing string of clue) per squeeze of the trigger. It's allows you to control the amount of glue you use much easier. This glue gun has less wasted or excess glue.

The only downside I really had with this glue gun is that the trigger to help push the glue stick into the gun only goes so far before you need another glue stick to help push the original glue stick through the gun.

This gun works with the thinner glue sticks. Thick ones may not work with this machine. They might not fit.

Overall, this is a decent glue gun that works for arts and crafts. The glue is able to stick to many different materials, such as metal, wood, paper, fabric, magnets, etc.

Check out this glue stick on Amazon.
