Spa Facial Steamer

I received the Spa Home Facial Steamer with Essential Oil through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • Helps remove dirt and grime from pores
  • Includes Frankincense and Myrhh essential oil that promotes anti-aging and antibacterial
  • 2 levels of power
The facial steamer seems like a neat idea. It helps clean facial skin and help reduce the signs of aging.

To me, the esstential oil that came with the product was a strong smell. Something that those with asthma or allergic to perfume would have trouble with. Other members of my family thought it didn't smell bad.

The product was okay to set up. There wasn't much in the way of instructions on how to. It took a bit of searching to find how full the steamer is to be. (50 mL or up to the edge of the silver tin on the inside.)

The power levels are low to high. The product's page on Amazon claims it only takes about a minute for the steam or warm wisp of steam, when in reality and based on the information that comes in the box, the product takes more like 5 minutes to begin steaming.

The product comes with little to no instructions. There's instructions on how to clean the steamer, but not much else. There's no directions on how your face is suppose to sit in the steamer. I can tell the instructions or information on the paper was not double checked for any spelling errors. The entire pamphlet is covered in errors making it hard to read or fully understand.

Pros:
- Helps clean skin

Cons:
- Short cord (3 feet or less)
- Takes 5 minutes (not 1 like the Amazon page claims) to begin steaming
- Lack of instructions
- Information pamphlet is covered in spelling errors (not checked over)
- Top fits loosely

Foxbrim Hyaluronic Acid

I received the Foxbrim Hyaluronic Acid through a promotion.

Don't let the "acid" in the name scare you. It worried me a bit before I tried it, so I did some research about what Hyaluronic Acid is.

Hyaluronic Acid is a substance that is naturally present in the body. Hyalurnoic Acid that is applied to the skin is often used to help heal wounds, burns, skin ulcers, or used as a moisturizer. Hyaluronic Acid is often used to help prevent the effects of aging. According to Webmd, there is no evidence supporting the claim. Webmd does state that Hyaluronic Acid is safe for most people.

According to Hyalogic, Hyaluronic Acid is an excellent moisturizer because "Hyaluronic Acid is one of the most hydrophilic (water-loving) molecules in nature."

Foxbrim's Hyaluronic Acid is a gel like substance. A little amount of the gel goes a long ways. I have been using this gel on my face. I tend to have sensitive skin on my face and neck, but this product did not cause any problems for me.

I haven't been taking the Hyaluronic Acid by Foxbrim long enough to say whether or not it truly prevents aging, but I can tell you this... Each time I've used Foxbrim's Hyaluronic Acid, my face feels softer, my pores look smaller, the redness in my face is reduced, my face doesn't feel stiff or dry (even in the cold weather Iowa has had so far), and my face tends to have more color and glow to it.

Now, I may not know if it prevents aging, but it does help reduce the appearance of it.

Check out it out on amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Anti-Aging Moisturizer by Foxbrim

I received the Foxbrim Anti-Aging Moisturizer through a promotion.

Product Info:
  • 1% Retinol Moisturizer combined with natural antioxidants
  • Safe for sensitive skin
  • 100% Pure Vitamin A
  • 100% Natural and Organic ingredients
  • Helps strengthen skin's elasticity
  • Boost collagen production
  • Unclogs pores and reducers overall pore size
  • Clears acne and reduces redness
  • Lighten discoloration

I'm not a full-time face moisturizer user because I had always had problems with the moisturizer drying out my skin on my face, which irritated me. I had no problems with the Foxbrim Anti-Aging Moisturizer.

This product helped moisturize my face and neck without leaving any oily, greasy feeling residue behind. My face felt smooth and moisturized right after use and lasted for hours.

The product smells just like most unscented lotions, which is a major bonus to me. Most scented lotion or moisturizers bother my sinuses and gives me a headache.

I don't have a lot of acne, so I can not comment for whether or not it truly clears acne. I did notice a reduce in redness on my face, which has always been a problem for me. I also did notice that my pores appeared smaller after using the product.
